沿海地区由于常年湿度大，且海水形成的盐雾性气候对彩板的腐蚀破坏程度大，在彩板的选择上主要考虑耐腐蚀性。在海边使用彩板，需要厚涂层的彩板或者涂层相对致密的涂料品种，因为海水中的氯离子渗透能力很强，它能透过薄涂层或者不致密的涂层直接腐蚀基体镀层。在海水能溅到的地方，不建议采用彩涂钢板。
In coastal areas, due to the high humidity all year round and the salt fog climate formed by sea water, the corrosion damage degree of color plate is large. The corrosion resistance is mainly considered in the selection of color plate. When using the color plate on the sea, it needs the thick coating color plate or the relatively dense coating variety, because the chloride ion penetration ability in the sea water is very strong, it can directly corrode the substrate coating through the thin coating or the non dense coating. Color coated steel plate is not recommended where seawater can splash.
考虑沿海地区的盐雾环境，建议采用耐盐雾的PVDF氟碳、SDP超耐候或HDP高耐候彩板。
